Kambo Ceremony
What is Kambo?
Kambo is a secretion that comes from the green monkey tree frogs (Phyllomedusa Bicolor) indigenous to the Amazon Jungle. Kambo is thought to be one of the most potent naturally occurring antibiotics/antiseptics on the planet and is known by the native Amazonian tribes as "vaccine of the forest". The use of Kambo differs amongst tribes but the main indigenous uses revolve around lifting heavy energies referred to as Panema – understood as bad luck, depression, laziness, sadness, irritation, or negative/dark energies which attract struggles and disease. It is also used for hunting as they believe it helps their speed, energy, and precision.
The secretion of Kambo has been found to contain numerous bio-active peptides which have been known to aid in deep healing and cleansing for various ailments and conditions. Researchers believe these peptides cover a wide range of potential uses for chronic illness such as fatigue, pain, cancer, HIV, hepatitis, diabetes, endometriosis, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's, depression, anxiety, PTSD, vascular problems, arthritis, addictions, migraines, fertility issues and many others. Recent studies have shown that Kambo contains multiple antimicrobial peptides effective against drug resistant strains of bacteria, fungi, protozoa, parasites and virus.
Kambo works with us on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level clearing and harmonizing our energy field. The frog connects us with our true selves and asks us to be fully conscious and engaged with the processes of being with discomfort as well as facing our fears, blocks, and shadow patterns. Kambo is known as a “remover of blocks”. It assists us in anchoring into deeper surrender and trust, both in ceremony and life. It shows us our negative habits, what would benefit us to avoid and what we could do in order to improve ourselves so we can break through these blockages and release these patterns to live in a more harmonious and authentic way.Immediate and short term effects may include enhanced mood, presence, alertness, clarity, focus, energy and increased resistance to stress, tiredness, hunger and thirst.
The Kambo used is 100% ethically and sustainably harvested from reputable sources directly from the Matses tribe with great care and skill. The frog is always unharmed during the extraction process. It is considered extremely bad form by the indigenous people to harm the frog in any way, as they believe it could offend the animal spirits of the jungle, and bring about misfortune. Kambo is completely legal worldwide, apart from Brazil where it is forbidden to advertise/market Kambo in order to restrict biopiracy.

The Process
The secretion is applied topically to small burns (gates) administered to the skin using a small vine. A superficial layer of skin is gently removed, exposing the epidermis. There is no set amount of gates, everyone is treated individually depending on many variables including whether or not you have received kambo before, the nature of your intention, and my intuition. For those looking for a gentler approach a microdose or layered treatment may be advised. A layered treatment meaning applying one gate of medicine at a time and only increasing as the receiver feels ready, this method tends to be far less intense than adding several points of medicine at once.
Kambo enters the body through the lymphatic system, awakening the bodies natural ability to heal itself. You may immediately feel warmth in your body and face, you may feel your heart beat strong throughout your body, you may experience tingling, throbbing sensations, dizziness, swelling, sweating, or chills. The nature of your cleanse and how Kambo is working in your body will reflect the state of your body/spirit as well as your intention. The height of your cleansing experience may last twenty to forty five minutes, at which time you will release unwanted toxins and energies, this may happen physically through purging, this may happen emotionally through crying, this may happen energetically through shaking, etc. You will be strongly supported and guided through your process in a safe and protected space. The ceremony will be guided using prayer, song, smoke, and potentially Hapeh. Once your process is complete you will have time to integrate and receive an optional purge reading, intuitive guidance, and Sananga. Following your session please honor your process by allowing yourself the space and time to integrate the experience. You are doing deep transformational/healing work for current/past lives and lineages. Be gentle with yourself and remain in communion with the medicine, it can guide you through the process sometimes for weeks after the ceremony. Please keep a clean diet for at least few days after your session - avoiding processed foods, sugar, caffeine, spicy and greasy food, alcohol, and recreational drugs. Avoid negativity, drama, heavy places and people. Take some time to connect to nature, journal, meditate, and take excellent care of yourself.
